Mr Jobson suggested motherhood played a role in the reportedly conflictual relationship Kate and Meghan have. The Duchess of Cambridge is mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis while the Duchess of Sussex is currently expecting her first child with Prince Harry. The baby is expected to arrive in Spring 2019.Speaking to ITV Tonight, the Royal expert said: “There has been an awful lot of speculation about a tension between the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge. Just because they are married to two brothers doesn’t mean that they have to be the best of friends.

“Kate is a mother of three children, she’s in a very different place in her life. Meghan has lived this life as an actress, she’s been married before, she’s lived in LA. There is not really an awful lot of similarities to their lives.”The origin of rumours about the Royal feud is unclear but they coincided with the news that Harry and Meghan were planning to move house. The Queen has reportedly offered her help to Meghan in order to reunite the two sisters-in-law before the Christmas holidays, with a source telling the Sunday Times: “Her Majesty has seen it all and could offer the Duchess some helpful advice at the moment.

“Meghan would do well to nurture that relationship and pop over for the occasional cup of tea with the Queen.
“That is what Sophie Wessex has quietly done so well.”Kate and Meghan will spend the Christmas holidays together in Sandringham, the Queen’s residence in Norfolk, a gathering that could exacerbate tensions between them, according to a royal author.Biographer Christopher Wilson said that reports of a feud “won’t make things any easier between the girls.” He told New! magazine: “Kate’s a homebody and loves being with her own immediate family at Christmas – off-duty and relaxed.

“Sandringham Christmases can be an ordeal, even for those born royal – and generally those who’ve married into the family often can’t wait to get away.“As with many seasonal family gatherings, there can be undercurrents and the publicity over the Meghan clash won’t make things any easier between the girls.”Various sources claimed Meghan and Kate first clashed over the festive period spent in Sandringham last Christmas and later in the run-up to Meghan and Harry’s Royal Wedding.

It was also argued Prince William didn’t welcome Meghan into the Royal Family as warmly as Prince Harry would have wanted, raising doubts about their relationship. One insider said Harry is notoriously protective when it comes to Meghan. They said: “Harry won’t take any criticism of Meghan and he is so sensitive that he often sees criticism or negativity when there isn’t any.”And rumours of the Duchess of Sussex being demanding with the staff of royal palaces were fuelled by the resignations of two of her personal assistants.
